Before heading out to Vegas I of course had a TON of work to get done and tried to make some time for happy hours with the girls. The first few days in Vegas were brutal. I ate something bad at the Chinese place at the Riv and only got about an hour or 2 of sleep that night with no real rest until a few days into the trip. I spent most of my time working at the Predator Booth or sweating matches at Pool Sharks.
A few shout outs to all my friends who did well in Vegas: Congrats to Borana who defeated OMGWTF in their $2000 challenge match. Gail Glazebrooke for winning the Women's Open Singles, I remember meeting her out in Vegas 2 years ago when we had a crazy hill-hill match against each other. One of my former Scotch partners, James Davis Jr took 3rd (I think) in the Masters Singles. Shane's Aunt, Gari Jo, won the women's masters singles. The Austin boys took 3rd in the Open Teams. And of course a Texas team (the dallas girls) won the Women's Open team event. I'm sure there are many more I've missed but all in all, the Texas Players (okay not everyone I listed is from Texas) had a great showing in Vegas this year.
While I am not much for gambling, I did enjoy the night life and some great food while in Vegas. We discovered an awesome new mexican place at the Fashion Show Mall called Segundo. I loved it so much I went back 2 nights in a row! The last night in Vegas was a long crazy one that started at what I am told is a locals spot called Cadillac Ranch where they had a mechanical bull!

We followed that up with a visit to the awesome club called XS. Most of our nightlife expeditions were headed by one of my favorite business partners and I got to have some fun with the girls from Predator. I love all the people that work for that company!

Vegas was a great trip, I met lots of amazing people, spent some good quality time with good friends and watched some great pool. Now I am starting a LONG 3 and a half months of travel for work. We have a series of receptions and conferences all over Texas so I should rack up some nice flight miles. During all of that travel I will be returning to Vegas for the BCA Expo in July. Sadly I will miss the Justin Tuck charity event in NYC this week but if you are in the area, please go out and support this event. I believe the KOD girls will be there as well as Jennifer Barretta and other local pros.
A big thank you to Poison and Predator Cues for supporting me! I had a great trip and enjoyed doing challenge matches and jump cue dempstrations in the Poison and Predator booths. Thanks also to Kim White for being my travel buddy on this trip. I had a great time!
